New content for a new financial year

There's no point talking about the kind of content you need to be utilising if you don't understand copywriting.
The purpose of copywriting is to get a particular action from the person reading your copy. We all know the say "Sticks and Stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me" - this saying illustrates that words are very powerful and can not be underestimated; because they are more impactful that sticks and stones. Having strong and effective content is going to ensure that you reach your KPI's for the new financial year. You also need to ensure that you make your words sell.
There are a few easy steps to ensure that your words sell:

Have a Goal

Firstly, know what you want to gain from your content - having a purpose and an overarching goal ensures that you will stay on track and will have a key theme running through your page. This overarching goal could be to make sales, to create an online community or to have increase brand awareness. With the beginning of the new financial year, your results from the previous will determine what these overarching goals are.

Short, Sharp and Sexy

Secondly, write SHORT, SHARP and SEXY content. Nobody wants to read long bland content.

Call to Action

Thirdly, make your call to actions clear and definitive. Don't leave it up to your audience to figure it out. Speak in your target audience's language and use lexicons that they will understand. Don't pretend to be something you're not though. Users are very clever and can often spot a cat among the pigeons.

What you talking about?

Finally, speak in your target audience's language; use lexicons and phrases that they will understand and use in their everyday life. However, while doing this don't pretend to be something you are not. Consumers are very clever and can often spot a cat among the pigeons - and you don't want to be caught out.
